Over 1.3 billion people worldwide smoke to get nicotine. But it's the tar that kills them, not the nicotine. If you are a smoker and you have tried to quit, by all means such as patches, gum and champix, and you turn to your doctor, the risk is 80 per cent advises against products like e-cigarettes. This is because they don't know any better and haven't kept up to date with the huge differences between regular cigarettes and e-cigarettes.

E-cigs save thousands of lives

Cigarettes contain tar and around 7000 other toxins, many of which are carcinogenic. E-cigarettes contain NO tar and very few substances that can be considered harmful to health. And the doses of these substances are so low, relative to the daily amount consumed by an e-cigarette user, that they are essentially harmless. It has been proven that e-cigarettes are 95% less harmful than regular cigarettes. This means that vejpning saves thousands of lives every year.

But despite this, the EU and our government up laws and regulationsr of e-cigarettes. It will end up not being possible to offer these products as a healthier alternative to smoking.

Letting smokers smoke themselves to death

This is the situation in Sweden, and in very many countries. Lack of knowledge and an unwillingness to listen and access to independent research on the subject is present everywhere. In the less fortunate countries corruption is well within reach: banning these products altogether while allowing people to smoke themselves to death.

Is this really what we want?
